Gone but not forgotten. Time to move on.
It was a record rainy October for the year 2009. Finally, as we turn the page on the calendar, Mother Nature has been kind enough to "turn it off" for the week ahead. Sunshine, highs in the mid to upper 60's, lows in the mid to upper 40's, just ideal "outdoor" weather.
Halloween behind us, a good, safe time was had by all. Not TOO much candy this year... just enough to enjoy the holiday. Thanksgiving now just a few short week away, then, before you know it, St Nick with his visit to our homes and hearts. Wal-Mart is starting early with it's sales, too.

Today is an interesting day in history, this plane, made it's first and only flight some 62 years ago. It was known as the Hughs H-4 Hercules. Howard didn't care for the name every one else called it.

NASA had a successful test of the ARES rocket last week, but its still not known what's going to happen once the shuttle fleet is retired next year. The current administration is still crunching numbers on the plan to "return to the moon." The next shuttle launch is scheduled for November 16th, just about 2 weeks out.

I'm really enjoying the NFL this year. Peyton Manning is doing great with his Colts, and the amazing Brett Favre continues to inspire the Vikings. They beat the Packers (his old team) for the second time, and on the Packers home turf Sunday.
