I can't believe it's been 3 years since I had the honor or meeting this fine astronaut and human, Douglas "wheels" Wheelock at KSC for the launch of Space shuttle Atlantis, STS-135, the final launch for the storied space shuttle program. I had attempted more than a half dozen launch attempts, but this was the only one that I got to see launch, afterward, I cried like a baby. Many years of built up emotion. It is a happy memory that ranks very high.
